Born in Trinidad, Dr. Ramai earned his degree at the University of the West Indies. He went on to work at the university as a part-time lecturer and clinical instructor for four years while practicing dentistry full-time in a private practice. As a firm believer in continuing education, Dr. Ramai furthered his studies with a one-year postgraduate general practice residency at the University of Puerto Rico. He further attained an advanced certification in general dentistry with an emphasis on the surgical placement and restoration of implants with a two-year postgraduate residency at the University of Maryland. In both of his residencies mentioned above Dr. Ramai focused on mastering the skills of cosmetic dentistry. He received a Fellowship from the Academy of Dentistry in 2007.Ramai pursued his Mastership in General Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University between 2007 and 2013. In June of 2013 obtained the prestige of Master from the Academy of General Dentistry. He was awarded the distinctions of Fellow and Master from the International Congress of Oral Implantology. In 2015, he obtained the prestige of Diplomat from the International Congress of Oral Implantology. In addition, Dr. Ramai has obtained the Status of Platinum Plus Invisalign Provider and, furthermore, Platinum Teen Invisalign Provider. He also performs necessary Invisalign treatment in kids as early as 8 years old to benefit long-term and stable bites and to help prevent future sleep apnea problems in adulthood. Dr. Ramai is also a certified CPR instructor from The American Red Cross.
